In the beginning .... There was an exercycle....
Well, you've stuck with me, and reached present day. I'm posting this immediately after completing my 65th session. The last 5 days between my last post and now are thus:
Distance travelled = 127.38 km bringing my total overall to 1546.94 km.
I've broken the 1500 km mark this week. Feeling quite chuffed about that.
Something else I'm a bit chuffed about, is that in 1500 km, I've shed 5 kgs. I've shifted house, got engaged, endured plenty of aftershocks, survived snow and am addressing my relationship with food. I'm feeling just a little bit proud of myself and my achievement so far.
But, I digress - on with the story!
I left Whataroa and continued north up the West Coast. I virtually travelled through Hari Hari, Ross and Hokitika. They have the most awesome glass blowing studio in Hokititka, I would certainly recommend a visit if you ever get there in person. Glass blowing is fascinating to watch.
Tonight alone, I headed north from Hokitika through Kumara Junction, yep, past the place that the Coast to Coast race starts from. The competitors will be heading off from there in only a couple of weeks. Might have to pop down to Sumner and see them arrive at the beach this year.
So, tonight, I finished my session in a wee place called Gladstone.
The next time I post will be after day 66. And if you are really keen to keep following along - I'll post after every session, until I reach The End of the Lounge. :)
